W. C. "Bud" Stracener March 8, 1913-June 29, 2012 W. C. "Bud"Stracener, 99, of Caldwell, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at Copperas Hollow Nursing and Rehab Center in Caldwell. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Monday, July 2 at Chriesman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm Sunday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Stracener was born March 8, 1913 in Burleson County to William Jasper and Alice Lee (Merchant) Stracener. He was a retired farmer and rancher and a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roberta Kellar; two sons, Roger Dale Stracener and Billy Lee Stracener and three sisters Lillian Wagner, Ann Hill and Grace Howelry. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, W. J. and Becky Stracener of Caldwell; five grandchildren, Kayla Stracener, Melissa Stracener Beauregard, Pam Stracener, Cecil Stracener, and Mike Stracener; seven great grandchildren,Jennifer Stracener Fletcher, Courtney Stracener Todd, Allie Stracener, Dustin Hart, Ty Stracener, Zachary Beauregard, and Wyatt Beauregard and five great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brett Beauregard, Ty Stracener, Dustin Hart, James Todd, Billy Barnett and Shane Charanza. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home of Caldwell is in charge of arrangements.
