Jean Rae Slovacek 53, of Caldwell passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at her residence in Caldwell. Services are planned for Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at Phillips & Luckey Chapel with Rev. Dr. Todd Jordan officiating; burial will follow in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive guests Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Jeannie was born in Caldwell on July 11, 1958 to parents Edmund R. Slovacek and Mable F. (Brannon) Slovacek. She attended Caldwell schools and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1977. Jeannie spent the majority of her life in Caldwell as a homemaker and will be remembered for her wonderful smile, warm heart and love for animals. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include Shana Lattin to whom she was Mimi, her sisters and brother-in-laws; Karen and Douglas Moore of Modesto, CA, Dorothy and Arnold W. (Jack) Orsak of Caldwell and Jo Beth and Adian B (Buddy) Carlson of Caldwell as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers; Adrian B. (Buddy) Carlson, James Orsak, Doug Moore, Mark Telg, Brad Blaha, and Thomas William Faubion. Honorary pallbearers: Arnold W. (Jack) Orsak, Douglas Moore, and Adam Coffelt. A Memorial Fund will be set up at Citizens State bank by the family.
